EARLY LIFE

Ramon M. Durano V, affectionately known as Monching, was born February 13, 1963, and holds the distinction of being the eldest among the four children of Jesus “Don” Durano, Sr., and Elsa Y. Durano.

EDUCATION

Monching embarked on educational journey at Sacred Heart School in Cebu City, where inquisitive nature and enthusiasm found expression through active engagement in fairs and school activities. Later, at the University San Carlos in Cebu City, seamlessly transitioned from high school to pursuing a Bachelor Science in Business Administration. These formative academic years not only equipped Monching with a solid foundation but also honed his commitment to cultivating analytical and decision-making skills.

CAREER

Monching Durano’s professional journey has been defined by his unwavering commitment to public service and his leadership skills. His journey commenced in Danao City, where he served as Barangay Captain in Barangay Poblacion from September 1992 to May 1994.

Subsequently, he held a prominent role as a member of the Association of Barangay Captains from June 1994 to 2002. Continuing his commitment. Monching served Barangay Kagawad from October 2002 to June 2019. His exemplary service led to his election as a Sangguniang Panlungsod Member of Danao City, a position he has held since 2019.

RELATIONSHIPS

 Monching’s relationship with his parents has been a constant source of love and support, shaping his values and a strong foundation to personal growth. As a committed father, Monching’s relationship with his children radiates with warmth and devotion, as he actively endeavors to be a positive role model in their lives Since 2014, he has been esteemed member of Oasis of Love Cebu, and subsequently assumed the role of Head Servant within this Catholic charismatic community Oasis of love is a community of catholic renewing believers living in an environment of faith, hope, and charity inspired by the Word of God. These significant connection: profoundly enrich Monching’s  journey, offering him a reservoir of love, strength, and a profound sense of belonging as he navigates both personal and professional endeavors.
