June 18, 2025 (Danao City) – Commitment, and community spirit filled the air as 50 couples, many of whom have shared their lives and raised families together for years, finally said “I do” in the Annual Free Mass Wedding sponsored by the City Government of Danao through the City Civil Registry Office (CCRO).
The ceremony was officiated by Mayor Mix Durano, who personally led the declaration of vows and emphasized the city’s commitment to uplifting families.
As a special gesture, the City Government also provided the wedding rings, making the day even more meaningful for the newlyweds.
This initiative is part of the city’s efforts to increase the legitimacy rate and ensure couples and their children can enjoy legal, civil, and social benefits.
Beyond paperwork, it symbolizes respect for love that has stood the test of time.
Mayor Durano shared, “This is more than just a ceremony, it’s a celebration of enduring love and a step toward building a stronger, more secure community for every Danawanon family.”
Now officially united, the 50 couples begin a new chapter not just as partners in life, but as husbands and wives under the law and as stewards to their children.
This annual tradition reflects not only a celebration of love but also the City Government of Danao’s strong commitment to family welfare. By prioritizing initiatives like this, the city under the Durano Asministration continues to focus on programs that uplift the quality of life for every Danawanon, ensuring that no family is left behind- legally, socially, or emotionally.
