Danao City, Cebu—The 1st Danao City Grind Fest 100, a 2-Person Team

Adventure Sports Tourism Bike Race in the Biking Capital of Cebu, concludes today with 123

teams (246 cyclists) participating in a day filled with teamwork, endurance and sportsmanship.

The event draws cycling enthusiasts from across the Philippines, including elite riders from the

Philippine Cycling Team, who put their skills and endurance to test in Danao City’s challenging

yet scenic barangay roads.

 

In the 100KM category, Jericho Rivera and Emmanuel Dave Montemayor (Open Elite Men), both

from the Philippine Cycling Team, cross the finish line first in just 4 hours & 40 minutes, showing

remarkable teamwork and stamina throughout the challenging course.

 

The 70KM E-Mountain Bike category sees Eulogio Yu Jr. and Leo Manulat take the top spot,

while Junreck Carcueba and Khyll Lequin (19-34 category) finish the race in 2 hours & 27 minutes,

and lead the pack in the 60KM closely contested race.

Sanctioned by PhilCycling, the event features different categories under 100KM, 70KM E[1]Mountain Bike and 60KM. Prizes for the 100KM category include PHP 50,000 for first place, PHP

30,000 for second place and PHP 20,000 for third place. The 70KM E-Mountain Bike and 60KM

categories offer PHP 30,000 for first place, PHP 20,000 for second place and PHP 10,000 for third

place. In addition to cash prizes, trophies are awarded to the top finishers, and all participants who

complete the race receive finisher medals.

 

Danao City Government expresses its gratitude to all participants, sponsors and supporters who

hosting more events that bring together cyclists and sports enthusiasts, further establishing Danao

City as the Biking Capital of Cebu and a premier destination for adventure and sports tourism,
