Danao City Continues to Push for Self-Sufficiency Through Livelihood
A total of ₱3,140,000.00 capital seed was recently (July 4, 2025) distributed to 157 participants of 10 barangays with accredited Livelihood Associations under the Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP).

The City Government of Danao, through the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) in partnership with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), continues its commitment to uplift the quality of life of every Danawanon.
“In Danao City, we aim to make every family self-sufficient and productive in the community and this initiative is just one of the many steps toward that vision. Kalipay namo [namuno] nga naay mubarog sa matag Pamilyang Danawanon,” said Mayor Nito Durano.

Among the accredited livelihood associations that received financial assistance ranging from Php 300,000 to ₱480,000 each are United Cahumayan, Hugpong Danasan, Hiniusang Dunggoanon, Solid Guinacot, Uswag Guinsayanon, Positibong Loocanon, Taboc Binaliw Makugihon, Aktibong Taytayanon, and Maslog Malaumon with projects of egg layering, and general merchandise.

To avail of the program, residents must be part of an accredited livelihood association, where proper assessments and regular monitoring are conducted to ensure growth and sustainability.

This follows previous months of similar distributions, as the Durano Administration prioritizes livelihood support as a key pillar of its social development agenda.
