
Danao City — The Danao City Government holds its Turnover and Transition Ceremony and
Executive Briefing today, June 25, 2025, reaffirming its commitment to transparent governance,
responsible leadership, and democratic continuity.
The ceremony marks the official transition of leadership from outgoing Mayor Hon. Thomas Mark
H. Durano to incoming Mayor Hon. Ramon D. Durano III, with Local Officials, Department
Heads, civil society representatives, and key stakeholders in attendance.
Setting a tone of reverence and unity, Roxine C. Coyoca, Local Government Operations Officer
VIII of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), delivers the statement of
purpose, emphasizing the importance of smooth, well-documented transitions as a core element of
good governance.
Mayor Thomas Mark H. Durano delivers a heartfelt message, reflecting on the achievements of
his administration and expressing gratitude for the trust of the people. He highlights the importance
of continuing the Danao City Roadmap—a strategic vision that has guided the city’s progress in
infrastructure, social services, digital innovation, and inclusive growth.

The Symbolic Turnover Ceremony follows, including the presentation of official documents and
the ceremonial handover of the City Seal- representing the trust, accountability, and continuity of
leadership.
