The resplendent manifestation of faith and unity unfolds today
as the Fluvial Procession in honor of the Holy Child, Señor Santo Niño, triumphantly sails through
the waters of Danao City. This momentous event marks the second fluvial procession, following
the inaugural one held last year 2023.
In the early hours, a solemn devotion resonates across the cityscape, signaling the commencement
of the annual sacred waterborne journey for Señor Santo Niño. Despite last week’s weather
induced delay, the weather now smiles upon the faithful, casting a radiant backdrop for the joyous
celebration that unites the Danawanon Catholic community.
The postponed schedule from the previous week does not dampen the spirits of the devotees, as
hundreds of participants and spectators alike, along with more than 50 vessels, embark on this
maritime pilgrimage.
Organized by STVP-Danao, in coordination with the Danao City Government, coastal barangays,
local fishermen associations, private fishing companies, and Coast Guard Danao, this sacred
occasion reaffirms the unwavering faith of the Danawanon Catholic community, resonating the
shared devotion and spirituality that permeates Danao City, HERE AND NOW.
