VICE MAYOR DISTRIBUTES CASH ASSISTANCE TO SOLO PARENTS












January 19, 2021- Danao City Vice Mayor Thomas Mark “Mix” Durano personally distributes cash assistance to the 21 members of the Solo Parents Association of Barangay Togonon as part of the city’s Sustainable Livelihood Program, spearheaded by the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO).
Each member receives P15,000.00 as a start-up capital for their chosen businesses.
Aside from Barangay Togonon, 20 Solo Parents Association members of Barangay Dunggoan and 30 and 27 KATROPA (Kalalakin-an Tiunay sa Responsibilidad ug Obligasyon sa Pamilya) members from Barangay Dungga and Quisol have received the same aid from the city’s livelihood program.
The Sustainable Livelihood Program of Danao City aims to improve the socio-economic status of the beneficiaries by providing them business opportunities through basic entrepreneurial skill trainings and seed capital funded by the Local Government of Danao.
Once they received the assistance, the beneficiaries will be closely monitored to ensure that their businesses will grow and develop.
This program under the leadership of Mayor Nito and Vice Mayor Mix is proof of their commitment to institute measures that would improve their constituents’ quality of life.
