LGU-DANAO WELCOMED 57 NEW CONTACT TRACERS



October 6, 2020 – Danao City Local Government Unit headed by Mayor Ramon “Nito” Durano III joyfully welcomed the 57 newly-deployed contact tracers in the city.
The said contact tracers were hired by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) and were officially turned-over to the city last October 5, 2020.
During the turn-over ceremony, Mayor Nito expressed his gratitude towards the DILG, most especially to President Rodrigo Duterte, DILG Secretary Eduardo Año and CLGOO Celerino Magto Jr.
In his message, he cited how this program is substantial in flattening the country’s COVID-19 cases. He also stressed the significant role of these contact tracers in Danao City’s effort to continually defeat COVID-19.
Alongside with City Mayor Nito Durano, City Health Officer Dr. Eric P. Echavez II and City Task Force Incident Commander Roland “Jikjik” Reyes were also there to welcome and personally give their messages to the newly-deployed contact tracers.
The contact tracers’ training, headed by the City Health Services Officer Dr. Echavez, officially began last October 6, 2020.
