Who may request?
Any Filipino resident of the city may file a request for access to information, official records, and public records in the custody of the City Government of Danao or any of its offices, consistent with Section 4 of the Ordinance. No requestor shall be required to state the reason for the request as a condition for acceptance, except where the reason is required by law or is needed to determine applicable exceptions.
Where to request?
Channels for Submission. Requests may be filed through any of the following channels:
- Walk-in — at the City Information Office or the concerned government office during regular office hours;
- Email — addressed to the official CPIO email Dpublicinformation1@gmail.com address as published in the Citizens Charter; or
- Online portal — through the official Danao City website.
How to request?
Contents of a Valid FOI Request. A request shall be submitted using the prescribed FOI Request Form A request is considered complete and shall be accepted if it contains:
- The full name and contact information of the requesting party;
- A copy or presentation of a valid government-issued identification card;
- A reasonably clear description of the information requested, sufficient to enable the concerned office to locate the record; and
- The preferred format of release (printed copy, digital copy, or inspection only).
How long will it take?
Processing Period. Consistent with Sections 9.4 and 9.5 of the FOI Ordinance, the following periods apply:
