DANAO CITY OPENS THIRD RESCUE 211 SUBSTATION

With the local government’s desire to deliver quick emergency response, another Rescue 211 Substation is added in the mountain barangay.

Just like in Barangay Lawaan and Masaba, this third substation located in Barangay Baliang is on alert 24/7 to quickly respond to medical emergencies and disaster-related search-and-rescue operations and incidents.

The opening was attended by City Mayor Nito Durano, Vice Mayor Mix Durano, Baliang Barangay Chairman Melchor Caputolan, City Councilors, Danao City Chief of Police PLtCol Maria Theresa Macatangay, Danao City Fire Marshal CInsp Tito Purgatorio, and other Punong Barangays and employees from the local government of Danao City.

“Kining pagtukod og mga substations nahimong posible tungod sa suporta sa mga leaders, ilabi na ni Mayor Nito ug Vice Mayor Mix, kinsa kanunay nga naay mga nindot nga plano para sa Danao,” said CDRRM Officer Roland “Jikjik” Reyes.

Aside from this substation, a Police Community Precinct will soon stand in Barangay Baliang.

On his message, Mayor Nito expressed his gratitude to the Danawanons and stressed the city’s serious efforts to deliver the services closer to them.

Under his leadership, the City Government of Danao aims to distribute emergency health units and peace and order stations to the barangays to ensure the health and safety of the residents.
