DANAO CITY GETS ITS OWN TB DOTS BUILDING. RESIDENTS FROM LILOAN TO BANTAYAN CAN NOW AVAIL THE “GENEXPERT” FOR FREE.

May 14, 2021- “Mu-avail gyud ta ani nga free services kay mahal ni sa mga pribadong ospital,” said Dr. Eric P. Echavez II, Danao City Health Officer during the blessing and inauguration of the new TB DOTS building located at the back of the City Health Services Office (CHSO).

This was attended by Vice Mayor Thomas Mark “Mix” Durano, DOH7 ARD Dr. Guy Perez, City Councilor Hon. Calvin Tuadles, NTP Program Manager Dr. Sharon Azenith Laurel, DOH 7 Engr. Cristal Oclares, Dr. Eric Echavez and other CHSO employees.

The construction of this building was made possible through the commitment of the Local Government Unit of Danao City and the Department of Health (DOH) in the National TB Program implementation. Through this, residents can expect an expanded and faster delivery of free services from the CHSO.

As cited by Vice Mayor Mix on his message, this new building symbolizes our united effort against our “health enemies”.

Services here include free Hepatitis B and C screening, HIV screening and other relative tests for Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI) and GeneXpert, a rapid diagnostic test for Tuberculosis detection.

The residents coming from Liloan to Bantayan can avail the GeneXpert for free.

In addition to the free laboratory tests mentioned above, Blood Typing, Rapid Dengue Testing, Blood Chemistry and Swab Testing are also available here. Just coordinate with the CHSO for more details.

If you wish to avail these FREE health services, you may visit the CHSO from Mondays-Fridays (8AM-5PM).
