Leading the delegation are Danao City Mayor Nito Durano and Vice Mayor Ivy Durano, joined by the City Mayors Office and department heads from the City Planning and Development Office, City Tourism and Development Office, Barangay-Community Affairs Office, and City Information Office.

On the Philippine side, Danao City records strong initiative in green infrastructure and adventure tourism. It also continuously explores electric vehicle charging station project on Northern Cebu to support climate action, hosts an Investment Forum on economic recovery and digital transformation, and stages an International Ultra Trail Running Tournament to promote adventure tourism globally.


Leaders from both localities recognize shared priorities and similarities that pave the way for deeper cooperation. Both governments reaffirm their commitment to advancing tourism economies anchored on cultural preservation, ecological protection, and sustainable growth.


The Danao delegation is set to meet with Nguyen Thanh Sinh, Vice Chairperson of the Lao Cai People’s Committee, to further strengthen bilateral collaboration.
