February 16, 2026– Under the Durano Administration, the City Government of Danao has officially received the Rescue 211 Boat, a 36-foot water emergency response vessel that strengthens the city’s disaster preparedness efforts and is fully owned by the people of Danao.
Operated by the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO), the vessel can accommodate up to 20 individuals and is expected to enhance response capabilities during water-related emergencies and coastal communities.
Mayor Nito Durano personally inspected the boat together with CDRRMO Chief Jikjik Reyes and members of the City Council, reflecting a coordinated commitment to public safety and disaster resilience.
City officials noted that the acquisition forms part of the administration’s continued investment in modern equipment, sustained training, and improved emergency services.
As the “Gateway of Opportunities,” Danao City continues to strengthen its readiness through strategic resource development and capability-building.
With the Rescue 211 Boat now in Danao, residents can expect faster and more efficient emergency response when it matters most.
