November 26, 2025 (Manila) —  Danao City receives the SubayBAYANI 2025 Exemplar Award from the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), marking its second consecutive recognition for excellence in infrastructure governance after also being honored in 2024.

The SubayBAYANI Awards, established by the DILG to promote transparency and accountability, recognize local governments that demonstrate outstanding performance in planning, implementing, monitoring, and reporting infrastructure projects through the SubayBAYAN platform.

The award highlights LGUs whose projects create measurable, positive impact on communities and uphold the principles of open, data-driven, and citizen-centered governance.

As a 2025 Exemplar Awardee—  and following its earlier award in 2024— Danao City continues to stand out nationwide for responsible project execution, accurate reporting, and meaningful community outcomes. Each facility completed, program strengthened, and public service delivered reflects a local leadership that listens, acts, and fulfills its commitments.
