Danao City, June 15, 2025 — Over 350 runners lace up their shoes and take to the streets of Danao City as the local government holds the ASEAN Dengue Day Fun Run 2025, an energetic and purpose-driven event aimed at promoting dengue awareness and prevention among Danawanons.

The event is organized by the City Government of Danao through the City Health Services Office – Sanitation Section, as part of the city’s efforts to empower the community in the fight against dengue. Starting from Plaza Mano Amon and looping through Barangay Taytay, the 3-kilometer route brings together runners from all walks of life to move not just for fitness, but for a dengue-free Danao City.

Emerging at the front of the pack are the event’s Top 3 Finishers, who deliver impressive performances:

1st Place: Ross Nier Capuno – 12 minutes, 24.08 seconds

2nd Place: Magdaleno Batucan – 12 minutes, 42.05 seconds

3rd Place: Clenton Jay Alerta – 13 minutes, 00.73 seconds

The top 100 finishers receive medals, finisher shirts, and dengue prevention kits as tokens of appreciation for their participation and advocacy. Local officials and volunteers also join the run, reinforcing the city’s united stance against dengue.
