Atty. Maryglie Angelie H. Delicano is the youngest and only female councilor of the 18th Sangguniang Panlungsod. Born to parents who value an honest dayโs work, Angeles and Maximo, Atty. Glee Hermosilla Delicano was raised in Barangay Tuburan Sur, tracing her roots to Masaba, Mantija, Guinacot, and Badian.
She started her journey as a public servant as an intern in the Danao City Legal Services Office, where she eventually became a Legal Assistant as a law student, and an Attorney | upon passing the Bar. Atty. Gleeโs first court appearance? Defending the City of Danao.
Admitted to the Philippine Bar in 2023, she graduated 9th in her class at the University of San Carlos School of Law and Governance. An Iskolar ngย Bayan, she graduated from the University of the Philippines from high school to college – instilling her purpose to always be in service of the people. She was a student-leader – President of the UP High School Student Council, Chancellor for Records of the UP Cebu Lantugi Debate Society, and subsequently, the University of the Philippines Psychology Majorsโ Association. After obtaining her degree in Psychology, she passed the Licensure Examination for Psychometricians in 2018. She was also Class Valedictorian at St. Thomas Learning Center Foundation Inc. during her formative years.

A staunch human rights advocate – Atty. Glee is a member of the Free Legal Assistance Group. A feminist-lawyer – she is a volunteer-lawyer for the Legal Alternatives for Women Inc. Her passion for upholding fundamental rights is reflected in her internships with the Commission on Human Rights and the Office of the Solicitor General. She is a member of the League of Lady Legislators, the Federacion Internacional de Abogadas – Cebu Chapter, and the Cebu Lady Lawyersโ Association. She was elected as the Secretary General of the National Movement of Young Legislators Cebu Chapter.
At present, Atty. Glee serves as the Assistant Floor Leader of the Sangguniang Panlungsod of Danao City. She is the Chairperson of three Committees: Laws, Rules and Privileges, Good Government and Public Ethics; Women, Children, Vulnerable Sectors and Identities, Family Upliftment and Social Services; and Accountability, Complaints and Investigation.
During her first year in Office, Your Konsehalang Abogada authored over 23 Ordinances and 44 Resolutions โ including landmark legislations such as the โAnti- Anti-Online Sexual Abuse or Exploitation of Children (OSAEC) and Anti-Child Sexual Abuse or Exploitation Materials (CSAEM) Ordinance of Danao City, the Right To Care Ordinance, Creation of the Early Childhood Care and Development Office, the Masustansyang Pagkaon para sa Batang Danawanon Ordinance, Danao City Integrated First One Thousand (1,000) Days of Life Ordinance, the Danao City ARAL and Foundational Learning Recovery Ordinance, Danao City Children’s Emergency Relief and Protection Ordinance, the Comprehensive Danao City Ayuda Program Ordinance, and the Due Diligence Ordinance, the Project Implementation Procedure Ordinance of Danao City, and the Danao Naminaw, Here and Now Feedback Mechanism Ordinance – most of which are the first of its kind in the entire Province of Cebu. In addition to her legislative work, she organizes Free Legal Aid Services Caravans for far-flung barangays, in partnership with the Integrated Bar of the
Philippines and the Danao City Legal Services Office.
In 2026, she received the Saludo Excellence Award for Outstanding Humanitarian and Community Service. Satiating her pursuit of excellence, she was selected in the National University of Singapore – Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy Executive Education Program for Young Legislators conducted by the NMYL. Atty. Glee is likewise honored to be the sole fellow from Central Visayas to have been chosen in the prestigious Young Leaders for Good Governance Fellowship Program Batch 7 of the Jesse M. Robredo Foundation.
Atty. Glee strives to embody the principles of accountability, participative governance, integrity, competence, and excellence. She believes that a better Danao City can be achieved by empowering Danawanons, uplifting the marginalized and the vulnerable, democratizing access to services, and upholding the rule of law.
